Beacon is a quaint, up-and-coming lively town located on the Hudson River known for its hiking trails, art museums, and plenty of shops, cafés, restaurants, and breweries/wineries. There's lots to do on Main Street and the surrounding area, and we encourage you to make a long weekend out of it!! Below are some recommendations.
If you're looking for a workout, we recommend Mount Beacon Park. Some of the trails are harder than others, but the view at the end makes it worth it! For more of a leisurely stroll, Long Dock Park is known for its scenic views along the river and some nice golden-hour photo opps.
Beacon is known for its many art museums. Storm King Art Center, Dia, and Magazzino Italian Art are all highly recommended as some of the top in the area.
The town of Beacon has a lot to do on Main Street featuring lots of local boutiques for plenty of shopping, cafés & coffee shops, cocktail bars (The Vinyl Room is our fav!), breweries/wineries, and great restaurants.
